Your consult notes are not available to anyone other than authorised users from your clinic or hospital, like nurses, other vets and front-of-house staff. Vedi-connected providers involved in your patient’s care (like referral specialists, emergency hospitals, pathology labs or other GPs) will not be able to access or see your notes. The only information they can access is core patient health data, like vaccination and immunity information, that is shared by default as part of Vedi’s function to enable connected care across providers. Other data types — for example, pathology results — are only shared with explicit consent. To share AI-generated summaries with others, you can send them via email to your chosen recipient. That is completely optional, and they are not viewable by anyone outside the core clinic team.
Sidekick AI is available to GP clinics and emergency hospital teams. Anyone who has a Vedi account can record, edit or contribute to adding consult notes via transcription. All notes are name, date and time-stamped, to ensure precise and authentic medical information. While veterinarians will probably benefit from transcribing notes the most, veterinary nurses and front-of-house/ clinical care representatives will also find a lot of value in using this feature.
A pet’s health information is typically fragmented: stored across multiple systems, paper records, other clinics, or not recorded at all.
